As someone who frequented this spot during high school pre-pandemic, the nostalgia is real. I remember the post-school rush, when my friends and I would descend upon the food court (located in the basement floor, accessible by both the elevator and escalator), ready to scavenge for any available seating. The place would be teeming with people - locals, big families, and fellow students, all drawn by the sheer variety of food options. The atmosphere was always electric, a symphony of clinking utensils, sizzling grills, and animated conversations. Sort of chaotic, yes, but I love New World Mall food court for what it is - a cheap and affordable quick eats, no frills sort of place. One of my go-to spots is Lan Zhou Handmade Noodle (see my review here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/lan-zhou-handmade-noodle-flushing-2?osq=lanzhou+handmade). Their braised beef hand-pulled noodles are a bowl of pure comfort. The noodles are perfectly chewy, and the braised beef is tender, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. This dish is a testament to the art of hand-pulled noodles and the magic of slow-cooked beef - a match made in foodie heaven. If you watch carefully enough, you could spy on the chef in the background deftly pulling the noodles and tossing it to cook. But that's not all. New World Mall food court is a treasure trove of Asian food goodies. Craving some piping hot takoyaki? They've got it. How about some dumplings, spicy hotpot, or bubble tea? It's all here, waiting for you to explore. If you're visiting Flushing, New World Mall is definitely an essential part of the visit to grab some quick bites. I remember watching a vlog during the pandemic of some dude touring the food court and it was so empty, which was oddly terrifying (scaryyyyy!). Here are some tips to hopefully make your next visit smoother: - Bring Cash: Some stalls don't take card, so it's always good to have cash on hand. - Timing: If you want to avoid the peak rush, try visiting during off-hours. - Sharing: Come with friends and share different dishes to maximize your tasting experience.

I like to come here to get some Asian food! There have many choices. The only thing I don't like because parking lot is so small n sloppy.. They only accept the cash.

Right off the 7 train, this mall includes an expansive asian food court and huge JMart supermarket. Reviewed JMart separately, so this review is for the food court! A perfect spot to try authentic dishes from many asian countries all in one place! KEY TAKEAWAYS: - AMBIANCE - Food court setting with ample seating and very clean. Went at 5pm on a weekday so it wasn't very crowded but expect it gets quite busy at prime times. Most vendors speak at least some english and the pics listed next to options at many stalls are helpful. - FOOD - Amazing across the board. Have been daydreaming about going back and made plans for this month. This time I'm taking leftovers! --- SOUP DUMPLINGS - Xiao Long Bao (Soup dumplings) from E Noodle - The only stall I noticed selling these and was not disappointed. These were top notch with the perfect amount of soup, flavor and consistency. $7.25 (Listed under appetizers as Shanghi dumplings) - SEE PIC of stall. --- PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE - w veggies was to die for. I loved Thai food in Thailand but am often disappointed with the plethora of Thai restaurants. I was not disappointed with my rice. I am huge on sauces and it didn't even need any, the rice was so flavorful and pineapple was lightly grilled (SEE PIC OF STALL). $11.50 --- BUBBLE TEA - Delicious with fresh boba at the well known Kung Fu Tea. - CASH - Reading other reviews, I just brought cash for everything as many stalls don't take card. - LOCATION - I don't recommend driving as street parking is VERY and I repeat VERY limited but that is flushing. The 7 train is only 1 block away.

Currently CASH ONLY for the main store Availability & selection of food/other items: 5 stars You want Asian food? You got it. Everything you can possibly imagine or want is here. Frozen dim sum, vegetables, noodles, snacks etc. As with any produce store, wash & inspect your vegetables. I don't come here to buy fruit, in fact, I only buy fruit at local grocery markets. I get mainly Chinese veggies here b/c they're not sold elsewhere. Prices are decent- even cheap by comparison to the prices I often see in the Bay Area. Cleanliness: 3.5 stars The store/mall is clean enough to pass the health check. Customer service: 2-3 stars Don't expect a sparkling clean, upscale store where the staff will be nice and friendly to you. Asians here mean business- they're quick, ruthless, and blunt...they will wave you off if you take too much of their time. With that said, if you have questions, they are helpful and will answer your questions. Just don't come here with expectations for "good" customer service. It's just how they operate and function. COVID: Someone takes temperature at the entrance & hand sanitizer is available. I honestly recommend a face shield here b/c it gets crowded like at the airports where you can't really socially distance 6 ft. Everyone here wears face masks...correctly, so that's a plus. Food court: Right below and some restaurants like Xiang hot pot is right above
